Qualifications:

Forensic Scientist positions require a Baccalaureate degree from an accredited

college or university.  Desired

coursework varies depending on the specific discipline. 

Masters Degree in Chemistry or Forensic Science may substitute for up to

one year of professional experience for FS3, or FS2 classifications. 

Must possess valid driver’s license and be able to discern between

colors.  Requires satisfactory

completion of a urine drug screen.

Responsibilities:

Completion of a training program, forensic analysis, court presentation as

expert witness, and participate in a proficiency testing program.

comments:  A Forensic Scientist may be hired at any of four

classifications depending on qualifications and experience. 

Several positions are anticipated over the next three years. 

The trace and document positions will only be at the Indianapolis

Laboratory. Applicants are responsible for their own travel expenses.
