Spring 2002 SAFS Meeting

Due to unforeseen circumstances, the location selected for the Spring 2002

SAFS meeting was no longer an option, so a new site had to be found in a

hurry. There was insufficient time to make arrangements for a full meeting

in another city, but a plan is going forward to hold a SAFS business meeting at

the American Academy of Forensic Sciences meeting in Atlanta, Georgia. The

dates are February 11-16, 2002. The AAFS program will fulfill the scientific

program requirement of SAFS.

More details as to the day and time of the business meeting will be posted as

soon as they are available.

If you are not a member of the American Academy, you can have your

registration fee waived if you serve as a meeting volunteer. (Sorry, AAFS

members – if you serve as a volunteer, you are only serving the organization as

is expected.) This registration waiver does not, of course, cover your

lodging, workshops, breakfast sessions or meals.
