The Southern Association of Forensic

Scientists Fall 2000 Meeting will be held at the Great Smokies Holiday Inn

SunSpree Resort in Asheville, North Carolina.  The North Carolina State

Blue Ridge Mountains. The area includes a number of attractions within driving

distance, including The Biltmore Estate, The Cherokee Indian Reservation, The

Blue Ridge Parkway and the Folk Arts Center, The North Carolina State Arboretum

for local micro-breweries, restaurants, and shopping. Rafting, kayaking,

mountain biking, hiking, camping, fly-fishing, and horseback riding are

available locally, most only minutes from the hotel. The Great Smokies Holiday

Inn SunSpree (www.sunspree.com) is a golf

and tennis resort with many amenities to make your stay very comfortable. Rooms

for the meeting are $89.00 plus tax, and larger rooms are available.

the room block will be released. Ms. Tina Porter will be glad to assist you in

reservations.

The Meeting will open with registration on Sunday and a full

reception on Sunday evening. Monday will devoted to workshops, and Tuesday will
