LIMS Programmer:

The United States Army Criminal Investigation Laboratory is seeking a qualified candidate to serve as a LIMS Programer in support of the mission of the crime lab.

Candidate should be a programmer and be familiar with C++, SQL programming language, SSL, and Java.  Familiarity with StarLims programming language is a big big plus, a strong IT background is a big plus, and background working in a laboratory or forensic laboratory is a plus.  The position is a federal job in the Atlanta area, with a very competitive salary, and other benefits depending upon qualifications.

USACIL employees are under U.S. Federal Civil Service. Your pay grade would be GS-, Step-whatever, just as if you work for the FBI, ATF, DEA, etc. If you are already in the Federal Civil Service system it most likely would be a very smooth transition. If you work for a state, county, municipal, or private agency this could a good move to work in a new state-of-the-art world class forensic laboratory (newly constructed in 2006).  USACIL is a fine, very professional organization.  It's located in Ft. Gillem which is on the southeast side of Atlanta (no parking problems).
