Awards

The Awards Committee is seeking nominations for two awards to be given at
the 2010 SAFS Meeting in Tunica.  These awards are:

SAFS Outstanding Contribution to Forensic Science: The winner of this award
will have a long-standing history of contribution to the profession of
forensic science.  The contribution could be research, method development,
significant case work, lab administration, SAFS Leadership, or a combination
of these attributes.  The nominee need not be a "geezer" to qualify.

SAFS Young Scientist Contribution to Forensic Science:  The winner of this
award will be a practicing scientist with less than five years of active
case work in the discipline nominated that has made a significant
contribution to the profession of forensic science.  The contribution could
be research, method development, significant case work, or a combination of
these attributes.

Please take the time to explore the contributions of your peers or employees
and find that person truly worthy of nomination.  Reward their hard work and
contribution by taking to nominate that person.
The nomination should include specific details about the contribution of the
individual, and why they should receive the acknowledgement over other
worthy nominees.
